Product Description

White Felt

White felt is produced through blending, pressing, fulling, and drying processes, creating a non-woven, homogeneous fiber mat. The final properties depend on its hardness, thickness, and wool blend.

Key properties include:

  1. Fibrous structure: Capable of absorbing and transmitting fluids along capillary pathways, filtering out solids or liquid mists in gases.
  2. Homogeneous structure: The surface can be removed without fraying, as it is consistently uniform.
  3. Resilience: Excellent recovery to original dimensions after compression.
  4. High energy absorption: Effectively dissipates vibration and sound energy.
  5. Easily shaped: Can be cut or machined and remains dimensionally stable with minimal swelling or shrinking.
  6. Wide operational temperature range: Maintains properties from -40°C to +100°C.
  7. Self-extinguishing: 100% wool felts have a flash point above 450°C and extinguish naturally.

Other qualities include resistance to oxidation, UV exposure, and non-polar solvents, as well as a nearly constant coefficient of friction in both wet and dry conditions.
